PSP Go! Touchscreen Slider Release Date

Capitalizing on the recent boon of iPhone touch screen games, the PSP Go! might have a touch screen of its own. This, too, would make perfect sense as a reactionary effort to mimic the iPhone/iPod Touch and Nintendo's DSi -- Sony's main competition in the gaming arena. A sleek and large touch screen could be just what Sony needs to get the PSP off the ground.

This new game console has a rumored name “PSP Go!,” a touchscreen slider with an internal flash drive from 8GB or 16GB. According to 1up, the new Sony game console maybe called either the PSP 2 or PSP-4000, PSP Slide, PSP Flip, and PSP Go! which will be unveiled at E3 on June 2, 2009 and set for release in Japan this September with a U.S. debut coming in either late October or early November. Price is not yet disclose. An added bonus is up for grab because Tekken 6 and Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny the PSP version game is also set to be release later this year.
